Welcome to our Nursery
Wainscot House Day Nursery was established in 1992. It is located in a large Victorian house, especially converted, with a garden and play area.
Wainscot House is located in a prominent position in the very centre of St. Albans and within walking distance of the city train station. There is a car park, which is easily accessible from the main road.
Our Day Nursery provides a stimulating and caring environment, which will enhance the growth and development of your child.
Go Green Bottoms !
We are the first nursery in St. Albans to use Green Bottoms to recycle our nappy waste.
This is part of our green initiative and our commitment towards promoting sustainability.
In January 2015 Ofsted inspected our nursery and much to our delight Ofsted have recognised our continued efforts to provide OUTSTANDING child care.
At Wainscot we promote healthy eating. Our menus reflect the governments recommended daily portions of fruit and vegetables as well as offering a well-balanced diet for all our children.
At Wainscot we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework for 0-5 year olds. This was revised in September 2014 and all new procedures have been implemented in our practice.
At wainscot we offer the free 15 hour entitlement scheme for 3-4 year olds. We also offer the government 2 year old funding scheme for eligible families. Please speak to a member of management for more information.
Pre-School Woodland Class
