Duties & Responsibilites
To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual education. To provide for children's holistic development through the provision of an environment which fosters self-esteem and autonomy. To implement the daily routine. To implement the Foundation Stage curriculum and/or Birth to three Matters and take an active part in planning. To contribute to reports on children's progress and developmental records. To have high expectations in learning for all children and focus on what children can do rather than what they cannot. To work in partnership with colleagues and with parents and family members. To foresee the needs of children with SENs and contribute to next steps for progression, where appropriate. To work in partnership with the Principal and her management team in supporting the ethos of Wainscot Nursery at all times.

Wainscot House Day Nursery was established in 1992. It is located in a large character Victorian house, especially converted, with a garden and play area. We are particularly proud of the personal attention that we give to the children in our care, and our highly trained Early Years practitioners treat each child as an individual, making time in the day for each and every one of them. Wainscot House is located in a prominent position in the very centre of St. Albans and within walking distance of the City station.
